I work with computational generative systems, using mathematical functions and constrained rules
to generate visual structures through parameter modulation.

Leopardo
79

‘Leopardo 79’ emerges from my exploration of a single parametric system, using Microsoft Excel as a medium. The formula remains fixed; I modify its conditions of activation. Each work is a distinct configuration of the same law.

Rather than constructing stylistic variations, I modulate parameters governing thresholds, density and structural dissolution.

I do not draw form. I intervene in a continuous radial field and observe what emerges.

The reference to the leopard is structural, not iconographic: like a pelt, the image arises from repetition that produces difference rather than identity.

Across the series, the same rule passes through regimes of densification, collapse, rarefaction and silence.

I do not seek a final image, but construct a constellation of states: an archive of possibilities making the consequences of modulation visible.

M3RR1
10 x (n-1) + 1

“Love, will you go and get the tree?”
“Yes, of course. I’ll take care of it.”

So I generated one with a recursive mathematical rule.
No baubles, no lights: just a small system growing exactly as it should.

About
the author

Microsoft Excel and email have been the two applications I have used more than any others throughout my life.

One day, almost by accident, I stopped looking at Excel for the number a formula produced and began to notice its form: the structure taking shape behind the calculation.

It felt like crossing a threshold — like Cooper and his crew entering the wormhole in Interstellar and finding themselves on the other side of the known universe.

Since then, I have been looking beyond the result: into the hidden geometry of systems, where formulas become images and computation opens onto another kind of space.
